An AI receptionist for auto repair shops

It answers the calls you can't get to, in English or Spanish, takes a complete message, and emails you the transcript after every call.

Why a repair shop needs one

The phone rings while you're under a car, with a customer at the counter, or after you've locked up. Every one of those calls could be a repair job. An AI receptionist picks up when nobody else can, so the caller talks to someone instead of hearing a voicemail greeting, and you get everything you need to call them back.

No Missed Repairs was built for exactly this. It's set up for auto repair first: it asks the questions a service writer would ask and writes them up the way a shop needs them.

How it works

  1. Sign up. Tell us your shop's name, hours, address, services, and who should get the messages.
  2. Forward your calls. We set up your receptionist and give you its number. Forward your shop line to it when you're closed, busy, or don't pick up. Your customers keep calling the number they already know.
  3. Call back with everything. After each call you get an email with the caller, callback number, vehicle, problem, whether it's drivable, a summary, and the full transcript.

What your callers hear

Every call starts the same way. It says it's the shop's AI assistant and that the call is recorded, in English and Spanish, before anything else. Then it asks for the caller's name and works through the message. If the caller speaks Spanish, the whole call stays in Spanish (see our spanish & bilingual answering service page).

It answers basic questions about your shop, like your hours and address, from the info you give us. It never quotes prices, never diagnoses a car, and never promises an appointment time. Your team makes the call back and handles those.

The email you get

Each message lands in your inbox with the details laid out: who called, their callback number, the vehicle, the problem in their words, and whether the car is drivable. Urgent calls are flagged. Below that is a summary and the full transcript, plus a recording link that's good for 7 days. When the caller spoke Spanish, you also get a full English translation.

Safety and honesty rules that can't be turned off

If a caller mentions an injury, a fire, a crash with injuries, or anyone in danger, it tells them right away to hang up and call 911. It gives no medical advice, takes only a name and number, and marks the email URGENT. The AI and recording announcement and the 911 rule are the same for every shop.

What it does, and what it doesn't

Does: answers when you can't, in English or Spanish; takes the caller's name, callback number, vehicle, problem, and whether the car is drivable; answers basic questions about your shop from the info you give us; flags urgent calls; and emails you everything.

Doesn't: book appointments, quote prices, or diagnose cars. It doesn't connect to shop management software yet. It takes the message so your team can call back. If you need an AI that books straight into your calendar, other services do that, and they may fit you better.

Built by a shop owner

No Missed Repairs is run by Ben Parker, owner of Cooper & Bimmer Experts, a BMW and MINI shop in Irwindale, California. He built it for his own after-hours line first and now sets it up for shops outside his area.

Questions

Does it book appointments?

No. It takes a detailed message and your team calls the customer back to schedule.

Do I have to change my shop's phone number?

No. You get a new number for the receptionist and set your existing line to forward to it after hours, when busy, or when nobody answers. Forwarding is set with your phone company or phone system; we'll send you steps.

Does it tell callers it's an AI?

Yes, in the first sentence of every call, in English and Spanish, and it never claims to be a person. It also announces that the call is recorded.

What happens in an emergency?

It tells the caller to hang up and call 911 now, gives no medical or safety advice, takes only a name and callback number, and marks your email URGENT. It is not an emergency service and doesn't call 911 for anyone.

How much does it cost?

$99 a month with 200 minutes included, $0.25 a minute after that, and a one-time $199 setup. There's a 3-month minimum, then it's month to month.

Can I change what it says?

Yes: hours, services, shop facts, and who gets the emails. The AI and recording announcement and the 911 rule are the same for every shop and can't be turned off.
